Funding Priorities
Blood Supply and Patient Safety
Financial gifts help offset the cost of performing infectious disease and other testing and typing to improve patient outcomes.
Colorado Marrow Donor Program
The total cost to add a new member to the Be The Match Registry® is about $100. This includes the initial tissue typing test needed to match donors to searching patients and other related costs. Many more patients need donors and CMDP relies on financial support to continue its lifesaving work. A tax-deductible donation will give hope to the thousands of patients searching the Be The Match Registry®.
Community and Donor Outreach
Bonfils conducts community outreach and donor recruitment activities like seasonal campaigns, Drive for Life and the High School Heroes program to ensure an adequate blood supply year round.
Employee Skills Training*
Financial gifts support employee training and organizational development initiatives to ensure that Bonfils maintains its premier workforce.
Laboratory Equipment
Funds assist with upgrading Bonfils' laboratories and purchasing state-of-the-art equipment required to ensure a safe and efficiently produced blood supply.
Lowry Facilities Improvements*
Money raised helps support facility improvements such as laboratory reconfigurations and other projects at Bonfils' Lowry headquarters.
Mobile Blood Drive Support
Contributions help offset costs that the blood center incurs in conducting blood drives throughout Colorado.
Research
Philanthropy designated for this initiative helps Bonfils' Research department advance the field of transfusion medicine.
