Help us fight blood cancer and be a match to a stranger in need. Much like Colorado's healthcare system depends on Bonfils Blood Center for blood products, so too do patients searching for a stem cell or marrow donor match. Every three minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer and every year, more than 12,000 people from all ethnic backgrounds are diagnosed with life-threatening blood diseases who hope for a marrow donor who can make their transplant possible.
Bonfils' Marrow Program fights blood cancer by locally adding potential donors to the national registry and facilitates lifesaving stem cell and marrow transplants for local patients with leukemia and other blood cancers.
Since its inception in 1989, Bonfils' Marrow Program has added more than 100,000 potential donors to the registry and has facilitated more than 750 blood stem cell or marrow transplants to support patients in need all over the world. In 2016 alone, the program facilitated 31 blood stem cell or marrow transplants and placed 2,431 potential marrow donors from Colorado and Wyoming on the Be The Match Registry®.
