Coloradoans have a lot of tough decisions to make in this political year but Bonfils makes one decision easy for you – the decision to donate blood. Regardless of your political affiliation you can take a little time to make a big  difference in the lives of patients in your community by deciding to save a life and giving blood.

Blood donations can drop up to 20 percent in June, July and August yet the need for blood products often increases during this time due to accidents, scheduled surgeries and medical treatments. Bonfils estimates the need to collect twice the normal amount of blood donations leading up to the Democratic National Convention. Thousands of visitors will converge on our state in August which can lead to a greater need for blood.

To thank you for your life-saving gift all donors who give blood between May 18 and July 12 will receive a Bonfils t-shirt and between July 13 and September 6 will receive a Bonfils baseball hat.  By making two blood donations between May 18 and September 6 (you can donate whole blood every 56 days), you will not only receive both gifts but will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a three-night trip for two adults to Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso in Riviera Maya, Mexico, generously provided by Apple Vacations.
