Bonfils Blood Center Sets Record-Breaking Attendance Record

A record-breaking 2,913 donors, including five current and former Denver Broncos and 582 first-time donors, rolled up their sleeves at the state’s largest single-day blood drive and donated 2,040 units of blood to support patients in need.

Bonfils’ Colorado Marrow Donor Program was also successful registering 162 potential marrow donors to the National Marrow Registry.

“The Colorado community answered our call today by helping us set a new Drive for Life attendance record,” said Jessica Maitland, vice president of marketing and community operations for Bonfils Blood Center. “The blood donations made today will help thousands of patients in need in our state and beyond and will give a much needed boost to the community blood supply as we approach the slow winter months.”
