Bloodhounds of Boulder Scavenger Hunt Magnifies Opportunities to Save Lives

DENVER (February 15, 2005) - Bloodhounds of Boulder, a fundraising event supporting Bonfils Blood Center Foundation, returns for a second annual scavenger hunt along Boulder, Colo.’s historic Pearl Street Mall Sunday, Mar. 13 from 1 to 6 p.m. Pre- and post-hunt activities will take place at the Boulder Theatre at 2032 14th Street.
Super sleuth teams and individuals will compete for great prizes as they don detective duds and jot jazzy jingles in the name of blood donation. In the last six years, Bloodhounds events have raised more than $470,000 which has directly supported a wide-range of community services for Bonfils Blood Center whose mission is to save and enhance lives.

Established in 1995, Bonfils Blood Center Foundation is the fundraising and educational arm of Bonfils Blood Center and provides financial support for many of the blood center’s life-saving efforts. Bonfils Blood Center supplies blood to more than 115 healthcare facilities and needs to collect 4,350 blood donations weekly to meet the needs of the community and to be prepared for any unexpected events.
