DETAILS/VISUALS: Hear City of Sterling Mayor, Daniel Jones declare Monday, Jun. 6, 2005 “Bonfils Blood Center Day” and join Bonfils Blood Center Senior Vice President of Community Relations, Jessica Maitland and Bonfils Blood Center Foundation President, Doug Laub as they greet and thank the community for their support.
Following the brief remarks, Tim Edgars, executive director of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, will assist the group with the ribbon cutting to unveil the new donor center where Sterling Fire Chief, Bob Olme, will be the first blood donor of the day.
Bonfils Blood Center supplies blood to more than 115 healthcare facilities and needs to collect 4,350 blood donations weekly to meet the needs of the community and to be prepared for any unexpected events.
