DENVER (August 1, 2005) - Hemo-Net, an application service provider for the blood banking industry, announced that its sixth client, The Community Blood Center, Inc. of Appleton, Wis. went live with Hemo-Net’s hosted services today. By utilizing Wyndgate’s SafeTrace® donor management system, The Community Blood Center enhances its ability to track donated blood units from recruitment and collection to final distribution. By choosing to host SafeTrace with Hemo-Net, The Community Blood Center can focus on blood collection and processing while Hemo-Net maintains their SafeTrace system.
“Working with Hemo-Net has enabled us to have hardware systems with back-up,” explained Alan Cable, president and CEO of the Community Blood Center. “This system is accessible from any location and it provides us with more redundancy and related safety than our own hardware system would.”
Hemo-Net and its parent company, Bonfils Blood Center, also assisted the Appleton-based blood center with consultative and technical support on a series of 12 upgrades to the most current version of the SafeTrace® - Donor Management System.
“Our goal is to provide services which allow for the highest level of protection to blood centers’ computer systems and databases,” said Matt Dickey, president of Hemo-Net. “With The Community Blood Center now onboard with Hemo-Net, we have enabled the blood center to securely access its data any time from any location. Bringing the Appleton center live shows our commitment to this industry and showcases our three years of ongoing success.”
Hemo-Net offers more than 30 years of technical computer experience, specializing in blood donor management and transfusion medicine software applications. As an application service provider, Hemo-Net partners with Wyndgate Technologies to provide quality service in helping blood centers advance their donor tracking, safety and disaster protection.
