Leslie Strate Joins Bonfils Blood Center

DENVER (June 4, 2007) – Leslie Strate recently joined Bonfils Blood Center as the executive director of Bonfils Blood Center Foundation – the fundraising arm of the blood center. In her new role, Strate will lead foundation staff and cultivate philanthropic opportunities for the blood center.
Prior to joining Bonfils Strate served as the vice president of St. Anthony Health Foundation where she was responsible for the St. Anthony Central Hospital’s capital, endowment and major gift fundraising as well as all development and fundraising activities for Flight For Life Colorado.
Strate received a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in Stanford, Calif. and a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Regis University in Denver. She is also an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and currently holds the vice president position on the board of directors for Denver Children’s Home.
For more than 60 years, Bonfils Blood Center has supported the community blood supply and has played an instrumental role in the lives of patients in need throughout Colorado and beyond. Bonfils Blood Center supplies blood to more than 200 healthcare facilities and needs to collect 4,350 blood donations weekly to meet the needs of the community and to be prepared for any unexpected events.
